Techem smoke detector basic – operating instructions
What should I do if the smoke detector fails
or is damaged?
Failure (soiling, change battery display, etc.) is signalled as follows:
Signal tone
1 short signal tone approx. every
40 seconds

In case of failure or damages to the smoke detector, the device
must be replaced as soon as possible. Please contact your land-
lord or his property management as soon as possible. – Do not
try to repair faulty smoke detectors. There are no exchangeable
parts (e.g. batteries). For safety reasons, keep the doors open to
rooms with functional smoke detectors until the faulty smoke
detectors are exchanged.
