How can I test the smoke detector?
Testing the alarm
Check the functionality of the smoke detector by pressing the detector
head with your hand or, for example, with a stick, a broomstick or similar
(approximately for 1 second):

until the test alarm sounds
Attention! – A loud, strident test alarm signal sounds. Keep a distance
of at least 60 cm between the SD and your ears.

Never use a naked flame or other smoke to test the smoke
detector.
The alarm must be tested annually (at the latest after 15 months).
However, we do recommend testing its functionality once per month.
In case of any faults, please refer to your landlord or his property man-
agement as quickly as possible.
