In addition, the following IR-specific faults can occur:
Diagnosis
LED on:
LED flashes
constantly:
LED does not flash
with transmitted
signal:
The IR receiving range can change as a result of
outside light from external source (e.g. solar
radiation, lighting).
Poss. cause/remedy
– eliminate IR light from
external source
– apply supply voltage
– eliminate continuous signal
from external source
– keep within IR range of
transmission
– replace battery of the IR
handheld transmitter or
wallmounted transmitter
