To tighten the springs, steel rods are applied, which ends should conform to the
holes in spring drums. The person who tightens the springs should be correspond-
ingly trained, and no other people should stay in the vicinity. When tightening,
the person who tightens should stand on scaffoldings next to the spring to en-
sure that the tightening rods and springs are not located in front of him or her.
Before starting the proper tightening, check if the springs are securely fixed on
drums, and if springs do not have visible cracks and deformations. Then loosen
the screws fastening spring drum with shaft. The tightening should be performed
by ¼ revolutions till the required tension is achieved. During tightening, insert one
rod into the spring drum hole, and turn it to such an angle as to enable the second
rod to be inserted in the next spring drum hole. When the second rod is securely
fixed in the drum hole, remove the first rod, but continue to hold firm the second
rod. Repeat the procedure till the required tension is achieved. During tightening,
the spring will stretch and decrease its diameter. When the desired tension is
achieved, carefully tighten the screws fastening spring drum with shaft. Then, re-
move the the tightening rods. Repeat the procedure to tighten the second spring.
This Instruction provides exemplary number of spring turns. The actual num-
ber of spring turns may differ slightly from the number of turns stated on the
manufacturer's plate of the door. This is explained by specific conditions of the
particular door installation.
When the door installation is completed, check whether the door operates
according to the Assembly and Operating Instruction. If necessary, make cor-
responding adjustments.
Check the correct tension of springs, and, if necessary, adjust it. To do this:
• open the door by lifting its leaf to half-open position,
• if the leaf is visibly falling, increase the spring tension by its regulation,
• if the leaf is visibly lifting, decrease the spring tension by its regulation.
[B000094] If the above mentioned works are not per-
formed, there is a risk that the leaf may suddenly fall
down and hurt people, or cause damage to objects in its
vicinity.
[A000007] 8. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
After the installation is completed, it must be checked that the door is fitted with
CE data plate according to the standard. If this plate is missing, fit the door with
such a data plate. After verifying the correct operation of the door, the Assembly
and Operating Instruction and door report book, if required, should be handed
over to the Owner.
[A000015] Activities, which may be performed by the Owner after careful
reading of the Assembly and Operating Instruction supplied with the door.
When the door is installed, the protective foil should be
immediately removed from the door leaf.Failure to do
so will result in a strong adherence of the foil to the door
skin metal under the influence of temperature and sun
rays. This will make it impossible to remove the foil and
may lead to coating deterioration.
[A000008] 9. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Packaging

Elements of packaging (cardboard, plastics, etc.) are classified as waste suit-
able for recycling. Follow local legislation for specific material before throw-
