or other debris around the track. This
dust and debris can stain carpet and
other materials. Consider this when
setting up the track.
Note:
LBG shall not be liable in case of
damages.
Power supply
For safety and reliability, operate this
model with LGB transformer only
(min. driving current 1 A). The use of
non-LGB transformers will void your
warranty.
Note:
For more information on LGB trans-
formers, power packs and controls
for indoor, outdoor and multi-train
operation, see the LGB catalog.
Catenary power supply
Wiring diagram (Fig. 2)
This model may be powered with a
catenary on analog layouts only! For
digital operation, the vehicle must
use track power. Otherwise danger-
ously high voltages may result.
This locomotive may be powered via
the LGB-catenary (see modes of
operation). The bottom of the model
is marked with a red dot. Place the
model on the track with the red dot
pointing to the rail that is not con-
nected to the catenary-transformer.
Note:
In order to operate several trains on
the same track, we recommend the
LGB-multi train system. For this pur-
pose the model can be upgraded
with an MZS-Loco-Decoder III2 (see
DCC-interface).
With the multi-train system you can
use an unpowered catenary system
for proprotypical appearance.

OPERATION

Do not connect this model to other
loco models with different starting
characteristics. This can damage the
internal gearing.
Operating modes
The model has two operating mode
selectors in the cab (Fig. 1).
The upper, two-stage operating
mode selector permits you to select
whether the model should be operat-
ed with track power or with power
from the catenary system (Fig. 1):
Pos. U:
Track power
(factory pre-set)
Pos. O:
Catenary operation
See catenary power!
The four-way operating mode selec-
tor in the cab (Fig. 3) allows selection
of the following:
Pos. 0:
All power off
Pos. 1:
Power to lights
Pos. 2:
Power to motors and
lights
Pos. 3:
Power to motors and
lights
Note:
If an MTS-Loco-Decoder III2 is fitted
directly to the DDC-interface, the
operating mode selector is not fully
functional.
Lighting
The head light of the loco changes
according to its direction of travel:
Three white lights on the front, two
red lights on the rear.
In each direction of travel, the front
cab is illuminated.
Multi-purpose socket
The loco has one each multi-purpose
socket for flat plugs at the front and
rear end in the frame.
