Important Information

This section contains necessary information to operate your
equipment safely. Before you put the telephone into operation, it
is absolutely necessary to read the safety information and to
make yourself familiar with the proper use of the device and the
technical data.

Safety Information

Warning: Improper handling of the device can result in
life-threatening electrical shock, or damage or destroy
the device.
Read the instructions for the device and keep them for future
reference.
Only connect the device's connection cables to wall sockets
that are designed for that purpose, and that have been pro-
perly installed.
Only use original accessories and original replacement parts.
Warning: Inappropriate use or incorrect replacement of
the wall wart can result in a life-threatening electric
shock, or can damage or destroy the device.
Only use the wall wart supplied with the equipment.
Make sure it is plugged firmly into the power socket. Loose
plugs or power sockets are a fire risk.
Do not pull at the cable of the wall wart. To disconnect the
power supply, pull out the wall wart at the plug itself.
If the wall wart is damaged, disconnect the fuse for the power
supply before pulling out the wall wart.
Ensure you comply with the relevant regulations when hand-
ling supply voltage and devices attached to the power supply.
Warning: Improper or incorrect use of the batteries may
result in fire, explosions, or the release of caustic chemi-
cals which may cause serious damage to the device or
are a risk to people.
Ensure that the battery is stored and operated at the tempe-
ratures specified in the technical data.
Only use the batteries shipped with the device or recharge-
able batteries of the same type recommended by the manu-
facturer.
Do not use normal batteries.
Make sure the battery is inserted correctly (correct polarity).
