7. oPerAtion And monitoring By Bluetooth

The HTC 4000BT can be remotely operated and monitored through a smart
phone or tablet with Android™ operating system. The free app is available at
Google Play™ Store. The wireless connection has a maximum range of 30 me-
ters under the best possible conditions. The achievable range can be adversely
affected by an unfavorable location and / or other radio connections.
To remotely operate and monitor the HTC 4000BT with the app HTCBluetooth,
please perform the following steps:
• Install the free app HTCBluetooth, which can be found in the Google Play™
Store.
• Activate the Bluetooth
• Connect the HTC 4000BT to the battery (see chapter 3 connection,
stArt-uP, chArging) and then connect the mains plug to a 230V /
50Hz power socket.
• Open the HTCBluetooth app (within 2 minutes after connecting the charger
to the wall outlet) and press the "New Search" button. If you have already
connected your smartphone to the HTC 4000BT, you can connect directly to
the app menu via the "Select known device" button.
• In the "Choose device" menu, select "HTC 4000BT-XXXX".
• Your HTC 4000BT charger is now connected to your smartphone.
• The button "Mode" can be used to switch between the various charging pro-
grams. The charger immediately switches to the selected mode.
• Start the charge display by clicking the "Start" button.
• The app will inform about the current charging progress. By pressing the "Stop"
button the display on your smartphone is reset and another charging mode
("Start" button) can be initiated by pressing the "Mode" button.
note: For security reasons, the actual charging process can only be inter-
rupted or terminated directly at the charger and not through the app. The app
only allows you to switch between the charging modes, as well as the monito-
ring of the current charge status. The last selected and started charging mode
remains active after the app has been closed. Charging starts regardless of the
app after first connecting the battery to the charging terminals and connecting
the charger to a suitable power outlet.
