– the device has any visible damages
– the device is not working correctly, leaking smoke, emitting a smell or audible
crackling noises or overheating and causing discolouration on adjacent surfaces
– the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
• Is the product shows signs of damage, do not touch it; there is a risk of an
electric shock! First switch off the mains socket to which the device is con-
nected by switching off the fuse or circuit breaker and then and plug the de-
vice from the wall socket. Do not operate the product any longer and bring it
to a specialist workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
• It is important to observe the charging instructions of the battery manufacturer
when charging batteries.
• Incorrect handling (wrong type of battery, incorrect voltage range or incorrect
polarity) and simultaneous failure of the protective circuits of the charger can
overcharge the batteries or destroy the device.
• Keep transmitting equipment (mobile phones, remote controls, etc.) away
from the charger, as the emitted radiation can lead to a fault in the charging
operation or to the destruction of the charger and batteries.
• Do not charge batteries in a boat or water vessel. The battery must be remo-
ved from the boat or water vessel before charging.
• Of the device and connected batteries may not be operated unattended.
• If you have any doubt about the operation, connection and safety of the
charger, consult a qualified person.
• Maintenance and repair works may only be carried out by a qualified person
or a workshop.
