Linear heat detector ADW 511A Transafe
The tube sections are connected by means of Serto screw joints.
This requires the pipe ends to be cut at right-angles.
The cut must be smooth with no protruding metal splinters.
Cutting the sensor tube
NOTICE!
A Serto screw joint can only be used once. The screw joint may only be tightened up to the

point where the thread is no longer visible.
A support collar must always be used where a Serto screw joint connects the copper sensor
tube and the plastic hose.

Maintain a safety distance of at least 20 cm between pipe clips and Serto screw joints (con-
necting screw joints and end screw caps). The distance between a pipe clip and a bend must
also be at least 20 cm.

Sensor tube end
Fit a Serto screw joint with an end stopper (= Serto end screw cap) to the end of the sensor
tube that does not lead to the detector box. Do not mount this screw joint until the sensor
tube has been blown out (page 44) with nitrogen.

The distance between the ends of
neighboring sensor tubes must not be less than 0.5 m.
