The detector box and sensor tube are connected by the plastic hose as standard (tunnel appli-
cation).
However, the sensor tube can also be directly connected to the detector box (e.g. for indus-
trial applications).
The following two possibilities (1and 2) show the ascent of the sensor tube with the plastic
hose:

The crossing from tunnel center to side wall is made using copper sensor tube. The
copper tube is attached to the plastic hose with a Serto screw joint. The plastic hose
is fed through to the detector box behind a protective profile in the SOS recess.
Important: The transition (Serto screw joint) between copper tube and plastic hose
should be located in the protected section where possible.
The crossing is made with the plastic hose inserted in a concealed or surface-mounted
protective pipe. The plastic hose is fed through the protective pipe behind the tunnel
wall cladding to the SOS recess and the detector box.
