In case if after replacement of the batter-
ies nothing appears at the display, please
check the polarity of the batteries again. If
still nothing is shown at the display, please
remove the batteries and contact your local
dealer. In case you do not remove the batter-
ies, unit might get hot and can be inflamed.

Voice operating system (VOS)

The voice operating system is designed to save memory capacity.
This means it will record only the voice. If there is a speech pause,
the recorder will stop automatically. The recording starts automati-
cally if you speak again.
To activate the VOS-mode push the MENU-button for 2 seconds
until the recording mode symbol (SP or LP) is flashing. Push the
MENU-button for short time again, the VOX symbol starts flash-
ing. With the << and >> button you can select between ON and
OFF.
By pushing the REC/STOP- button REC
play, the recording starts and the recording LED is on. During a
speech pause the recording is stopped and the recording LED is
off.

Auto-Off when not in use

If the unit is not in use for more than 3 minutes it will
be switched off automatically. Before the unit switch off
SLEEP is flashing at the display.
