• Do not switch the measuring instrument on immedia-
tely after it has been taken from a cold to a warm
environment. The condensation water that develops
may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach
room temperature before switching it on.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around
carelessly. In the hands of children, plastic films
and/or bags and polystyrene parts etc. can turn into
dangerous toys.
• You should also heed the safety instructions in each
chapter of these instructions.

Functional Description

The analogue clamp-on ammeter is a combination of a
clamp-on ac probe and a multimeter. Using the probe,
alternating currents can be measured directly at the
individual live conductors without the need to open the
circuit. The test jacks are used for measuring direct and
alternating currents, ac voltages, resistance values and
temperatures.
The clamp-on ammeter also features a data hold func-
tion that mechanically locks the pointer on the value
measured.
The clamp-on ammeter can be universally applied in
commercial, household or school environments.

Inserting/Changing the Batteries

The clamp-on ammeter needs to be battery-powered
for measuring resistance values and temperatures.
Proceed as follows to insert or change the batteries:
- Disconnect the measuring device from all objects to
be measured.
- Remove the screw of the battery compartment cover
and remove the cover.
- Now insert a new battery (type AA) in the battery com-
partment, paying attention to the polarity markings.
Take note of the polarity markings in the battery com-
partment.
- Place the battery compartment cover on the measu-
ring device and fasten it thoroughly using the screw.
Caution!
Never operate the measuring instrument when it is
open! Danger of fatal injury!
• If your skin comes into contact with leaking or dama-
ged batteries, you may suffer burns. For this reason
you should use suitable protective gloves.

- Replace the defective fine-wire fuse with a new one of
the same type (glass tube fine-wire fuse 5 x 20 mm,
250 V / 0.5 A fast blowing, designation: F0.5 / 250).
- Close the housing and tighten it properly with the two
screws. During assembly, make sure that no lines are
being squeezed.
If replacing the battery did not solve the problem, the
device should be checked and repaired by an expert.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications lead to an expiry
of the warranty.
If the measuring instrument cannot be repaired, it must
be disposed of in accordance with the relevant statutory
regulations.
