Never come into contact with the device beyond the
handle marking (2) when connecting the device to a
conductor or in the measurement phase. Danger of
fatal injury!
Measuring Alternating Currents
Proceed as follows to measure alternating currents:
- Rotate the rotary switch (11) to the suitable current
range "A~" (if you are not sure, always start with the
largest range).
- Open the clamp-on ammeter by pressing the lever for
opening the clamp (3).
- Never clamp more than one live conductor in single-
phase systems or several insulated live conductors in
three-phase systems. To avoid measurement errors,
always completely close the clamp.
- Now read off the respective measured value on the A
scale matching your measurement range (e.g. mea-
surement range = 60A~, scale = A 60 etc.).
- When your measurements are complete, you can leave
the rotary switch in this range. In this range, the measu-
ring device will not use any battery voltage.
Measuring AC Voltages
Proceed as follows to measure ac voltages:
- Rotate the rotary switch (11) to the suitable current
range "V~" (if you are not sure, always start with the
largest range).
- Connect the measuring lines provided to the two test
jacks. Observe the colours (7 = black / 8 = red).
- Now connect the test prods to the object to be mea-
sured. Now read off the respective measured value on
the V scale matching your measurement range (e.g.
measurement range = 300V~, scale = V 300 etc.).
When your measurements are complete, you can leave
the rotary switch in this range. In this range, the measu-
ring device will not use any battery voltage.

Measuring DC Voltages
Proceed as follows to measure dc voltages:
- Rotate the rotary switch (11) to the dc voltage range
"75V= ".
- Connect the measuring lines provided to the two test
jacks. Observe the colours (7 = black / 8 = red).
- Now connect the test prods to the object to be mea-
sured. Now read off the respective measures value
on the 750V scale (the reading must be divided by 10
to obtain the actual measured value).
- If the pointer is deflected to the left (below zero)
during a measurement, either negative voltage is
being supplied or the measuring lines have been
interchanged.
- Simply change the polarity of the measuring lines at
the object to be measured, since this pointer instru-
ment is not capable of displaying negative voltages.
When your measurements are complete, you can leave
the rotary switch in this range. In this range, the measu-
ring device will not use any battery voltage.
Measuring Resistance
Caution!
When measuring resistance, make sure that all the
components and modules are voltage-free and that all
the capacitors in the modules have been discharged.
Proceed as follows to measure resistance:
- Rotate the rotary switch (11) to the suitable resistance
range "Ω" (if you are not sure, always start with the
largest range).
- Connect the measuring lines provided to the two test
jacks. Observe the colours (7 = black / 8 = red).
- Perform zero balancing prior to each measurement.
For this purpose, connect the two test prods. The
pointer will travel towards "0Ω". If the pointer devia-
tes from zero on the Ohm scale, use the control (4) to
set it to zero.
- After this adjustment, connect the test prods to the
object to be measured.
- Read off the respective measured value on the Ω scale.
In the "x1" measurement range, the measured value
can be read directly. In the "x100" range, the reading
must be multiplied by 100.
Once the measurement has been completed, turn the
rotary switch to the current or voltage range, to switch
the measuring instrument "off".
