Com radio settings
• Increase the volume of the connected com radio in the FMT200 as desired.
• Speak into the headset microphone and adjust the microphone control (20 turns) marked ra
(no.
21) to the desired level (clockwise increases the volume) until the sound
is free from distortion in
the other communication radio.
• Pull out the plug from the FMT200 to the com radio and speak directly into the com radio. The
sound level in the other com radio should remain unchanged.
Power supply cable (no.5)
This is equipped with a ferrite to minimise electromagnetic interference (EMI). The ferrite must be
placed no more than 30 mm from the connector.
Note: 1) Connect the white lead, with a fuse, to +12 V. 2) Connect the brown lead to earth. The
FMT200 shell is only earthed if the shield on the power cord is connected to earth. The user decides
whether or not to connect the shield, depending on what is best in order to reduce interference.
Mobile phone (no. 18)
1. Microphone+ high
2. Microphone- (earth)
3. No connection
4. Earth HT- if no bridge connection in the output stage
5. HT- (SP-) if bridge connection is used in the output stage.
6. Microphone+ low
7. No connection
8. Stage/Road
9. HT+
Mobile phone settings
• Speak into the headset microphone and turn up the microphone control (20 turns) marked
GSM (no. 20) until the listener on the other telephone is satisfied with the noise level (clockwise
increases the volume).
• Decrease the volume in the mobile phone to reduce the echo in the other phone.
Stage/Road
Install an instantaneous (non-locking) switch between 4 and 8. This switches between stage and
road each time you press the switch. Must not be permanently connected.
Headset input (no. 16)
1. Electret Microphone+
2. Dynamic microphone+
3. Microphone- (earth)
4. Earphone-
5. Earphone+
AUX (Line Out) (no. 19)
Earth in the outer shell. Signal in the middle.

Technical data

Measurements (D x W x H in mm): 75x130x40
Weight (g): 330, excluding cables and battery
Wire (no. 4): 2 m with shield
Wire (no. 5): 3 m with shield
Signal levels
Mic+ high, about 500 mV rms/100W. Adjust using the GSM (20) or ra (21) knobs.
Mic+ low, about 50 mV rms/100W. Adjust using the GSM (20) or ra (21) knobs.
AUX (Line out) about 775 mV rms/1kW.
Voltage: 12 V (max 17 V) from car battery or 9 V battery. The 9 V battery can be connected at the
same time as the 12 V power source without draining the battery. Remove the battery when the
unit is not in use because the FMT200 draws power (<3 mA) even when switched off.
Power consumption: 40 mA idling. Max 270 mA
Fuse: Fast glass-tube fuse, 5x20 mm, 315 mA
The fuse holder can also take 6.3x32-mm fuses.
The driver's microphone is attenuated by 10 dB in Stage mode.
