10. Changing the battery

If the battery symbol (C10) of the radio protection alarm clock lights up or id
no display indication, lighting or projection is present anymore, the batteries
need to be replaced.
To replace the batteries of the radio protection alarm clock, proceed as follows.
• First open the battery compartment lid on the rear of the radio projection alarm clock.
For this, push the lid away downwards and remove it.
• Remove the old battery from the battery compartment (B14).
• Then insert 3 new AA batteries into the battery compartment (B14) (not enclosed).
Insert the first battery at the very top, then the middle one and last the battery at the
very bottom.
Always ensure correct polarity. How to insert the batteries is marked in the battery
compartment by illustrations.
• Last, close the battery compartment lid again. Push it up until it latches.
• This completes replacement of the batteries of the radio protection alarm clock.

11. Maintenance and cleaning

Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop.
There are no components in the product that need to be serviced by you. Therefore,
never open the product (except for the procedures described in these operating in-
structions for insertion/replacing the batteries of the product).
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the outside. Do not press on the
display too hard. It may break.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol or other chemical solu-
tions that would damage the casing (discolouration).
