6. CoNNECTIoN, STArTuP, ChArgINg

The charger has four charging channels
(see the labels on the case), that can be
used for simultaneously charging
12 v-batteries.
The setting can be done for each chan-
nel individually. The control and display
LEDs of each channel inform about
the selected charging programme, the
status of charging, and in case of failure.
• Connect the charger to a mains socket
(220 - 240 v/AC).
• Press the button for ON/OFF (Figure 1,
Item 1). The LED of this button lights up.
• Mount the charging cable to the charger until
they click into place (Figure 1, Item 2). The
plug connections are protected against polar-
ity reversal and can only be connected in one
way.
To release a connection, you must push the
red jack on the plug (Figure 1, Item 3) in
slightly and then disconnect the plug connec-
tion.
