6. ChArgINg ProgrAmmES

The charger automatically detects whether you have connected a 12 v or a 24 v battery. A battery with a voltage
from 14.6 v to 21 v is detected as a 24 v battery. There are six different charging programmes (Mode 1 to 6) avail-
able. You can select the desired charging programme only after connecting the battery; to do so, press the Mode
button (Figure 2, Pos. 4).
With the exception of the charging programmes Mode 5 and 6, the charger saves the last charging pro-
gramme used. The last charging process used is started after the mains plug is plugged into a mains socket.

a) mode 1

Mode 1 (Figure 1, Pos. 1: 24 v and sun symbol) is a standard charging programme for 24 v batteries. The ending
charged voltage is 28.8 v. The maximum charging current is 3.5 A. Mode 1 is suitable for battery capacities between
14 Ah and 120 Ah of the type's lead-gel, lead-acid or lead-fleece.

b) mode 2

Mode 2 (Figure 1, Pos. 2: 24 v and snowflake symbol) is
a charging programme for 24 v batteries, specifically for
battery type AGM. The ending charged voltage is 29.4 v.
The maximum charging current is 3.5 A. Mode 2 is suitable
for battery capacities between 14 Ah and 120 Ah. Mode 2
is also suitable for charging 24 v batteries at temperatures
below 10 °C.

c) mode 3

Mode 3 (Figure 1, Pos. 3: 12 v and sun symbol) is a stand-
ard charging programme for 12 v batteries. The ending
charged voltage is 14.4 v. The maximum charging current is
7 A. Mode 3 is suitable for battery capacities between 14 Ah
and 230 Ah of the type's lead-gel, lead-acid or lead-fleece.

d) mode 4

Mode 4 (Figure 1, Pos. 4: 12 v and snowflake symbol) is a charging programme for 12 v batteries, specifically for bat-
tery type AGM. The ending charged voltage is 14.7 v. The maximum charging current is 7 A. Mode 4 is suitable for bat-
tery capacities between 14 Ah and 230 Ah. Mode 4 is also suitable for charging batteries at temperatures below 10 °C.
