• When charging a battery, choose the intended charging
programme on the intended charging channel with the button
"Mode" (Figure 2, Item 1).
If the LED for the bike symbol (Figure 2, Item 2) lights up, the
maximum charging current supplied to the battery is 0.8 A. This
setting applies to 1.2 to 14 Ah batteries (e.g. motorcycle lead-gel,
lead-acid or lead-fleece batteries). Charging end voltage makes
14.4 v.
If the LED for the car symbol (Figure 2, Item 3) lights up, the
maximum charging current supplied to the battery is 4 A. This
setting applies to 14 to 120 Ah batteries (e.g. car lead-gel, lead-
acid or lead-fleece batteries) at ambient temperatures exceeding
10 °C. Charging end voltage makes 14.4 v.
If the LED for the snowflake symbol (Figure 2, Item 4) lights up,
the maximum charging current supplied to the battery is 4 A.
This setting applies to 14 to 120 Ah batteries (e.g. motorcycle
lead-gel, lead-acid or lead-fleece batteries) at ambient tempera-
tures below 10 °C. The charging end voltage here makes 14.7 v.
Use the charging programme with the snowflake symbol exclusively for low temperatures below 10 °C
and batteries with a capacity of at least 14 Ah. Otherwise the connected batteries can be overloaded and
damaged.
• Now connect the appropriate charging cable from the charging channel you have just set-up to the battery. The
red alligator clamp to the positive terminal, the black alligator clamp to the negative terminal of the battery.
• When the rechargeable battery is connected with the correct polarity, not defective (high-impedance/disconnected)
and connected to the mains, it starts to charge after a few seconds.
Never press the "Mode" button (Figure 2, Item 1) during the charging process, as it would change the
charging programme and thereby the charging current and charging end voltage. This may lead to
corruption of the connected battery. There is also a risk of explosion of the battery!
• Depending on the charging state and condition of the connected battery (e.g., battery old or new; battery flat or
over-discharged, etc.), the four LEDs (Figure 2, Items 5 to 8) of a charging channel flash or light up and show the
charging progress.
• With a flat battery, the first red LED (Figure 2, Item 5) flashes. When the first red LED (Figure 2, Item 5) stays lit,
the battery is charged to 25%.
• The next red LED flashes (Figure 2, Item 6). When this red LED (Figure 2, Item 6) stays lit, the battery is charged
to 50%.
• The next red LED flashes (Figure 2, Item 7). When this red LED (Figure 2, Item 7) stays lit, the battery is charged
to 75%.
• The next LED flashes green (Figure 2, Item 8). When the battery is fully charged, this LED (Figure 2, Item 8) stays
lit. The charger now gives the battery only low current for trickle charging.
