9. maINtEaNCE aND CarE

a) Cleaning the lens

Remove loose particles with clean compressed air and wipe off remaining accumulation with a fine lens brush.
Clean the surface using a lens cleaning cloth or a clean, soft and lint-free cloth. To remove finger prints or other
grease marks, the cloth can be moistened slightly with water or a lens cleaning fluid. To clean the lens, do not use
liquids containing acid or alcohol and do not use other solvents. Do not use a cloth that is rough or linty to clean the
lens. Avoid excessive pressure when cleaning.
b) Cleaning the casing
To clean the casing, use water and soap or a soft cleaning agent. Do not use any scouring agents or solvents!

10. DISPoSaL

a) Product

Electronic products are raw material and do not belong in the household waste. At the end of its service
life, dispose of the product at the collection point of your community according to the relevant statu-
tory regulations. It is prohibited to dispose of the device in the household waste. The symbol showing
a crossed-out dust bin on wheels means that this product must be taken to a collection site for electric
scrap to ensure the best possible recycling of the raw materials.
Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries;
disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbols shown to the left. These
symbols also indicate that disposal of these batteries in the household waste is prohibited. The heavy
metals concerned are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. You can return used batteries/recharge-
able batteries free of charge at the official collection points of your community, in our stores, or wherever
batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You will thus carry out your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of our environment!
