notes in these operating instructions that should strictly be observed.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and approval
reasons (CE).
• The device should not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress or strong vibrations.
• The device must not be exposed to electromagnetic fields, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight or
moisture.
• The device must not be exposed to high humidity or fluids. When used outdoors, the device may only
be used in appropriate weather conditions or with proper protection.
• Steam, dust, smoke or vapours can impair the optical characteristics of the thermometer and lead to
false measuring results.
• When operating the laser equipment, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so that no-one
is in the projection area and that unintentionally reflected beams (e.g. by a mirror) cannot be directed to
areas where people are present.
• Laser radiation can be dangerous if the laser beam or a reflection enters the unprotected eye. Therefo-
re, before using the laser equipment, familiarise yourself with the statutory regulations and measures of
precaution for the operation of this kind of laser device.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals.
• Do not point the laser beam towards mirrors or other reflecting surfaces. The uncontrolled, deflected
beam could hit persons or animals.
• Never operate the laser unattended.
• If possible, restrict the range of radiation by using screens or partitions.
• Do not use the laser at eye level.
• Caution - if you use any other controls or employ other procedures than those specified in these opera-
ting instructions, you risk the exposure to hazardous radiation.
• This product is equipped with a class 2 laser according to EN 60 825-1. The device is delivered with
laser warning labels in different languages. If the laser warning label is not in your local language,
please attach the appropriate label on the laser.
