5. Intended use
The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed pur-
pose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse.
The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be
liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as
a result of this.
To use the equipment properly you must also observe
the safety information, the assembly instructions and
the operating instructions to be found in this manual.
All persons who use and service the equipment have to
be acquainted with this manual and must be informed
about the equipment's potential hazards.
It is also imperative to observe the accident prevention
regulations in force in your area.
The same applies for the general rules of health and
safety at work.
The manufacturer will not be liable for any changes
made to the equipment nor for any damage resulting
from such changes.
The machine may be used only with original accesso-
ries and original tools of the manufacturer.
The safety-, workplace- and maintenance specifica-
tions of the manufacturer as well as the dimensions
specified in the technical data must be observed.
Please note that our equipment has not been designed
for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications.
Our warranty will be voided if the equipment is used in
commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equiv-
alent purposes.
Remaining hazards
The machine has been built using modern technology
and in accordance with recognized safety rules. Some
hazards, however, may still remain.
• Electrical hazards exist when unsuitable electric
connections are used.
• Although having regarded all considerable rules
there may still remain not obvious remaining hazards.
• Minimize remaining hazards by following the instruc-
tions in "Safety Rules", "Use only as authorized" and
in the entire operating manual.
6. Safety information

with this power tool.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may re-
sult in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" used in the safety instructions
refers to mains powered power tools (with power cord)
and cordless power tools (without power cord).
Read these instructions before using the charger and
follow them:
• operating instructions provided,
• rules and regulations for accident prevention appli-
cable to the operating site.
This charger is not designed for use by children and
people with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities
or a lack of experience and knowledge.
The charger can be used by children from the age of 8 as
well as by people with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities or a lack of experience and knowledge if they are
supervised or have been trained in the safe use of the
charger, and they understand the associated risks.
Otherwise, there is a risk of operating errors and inju-
ries. Children must be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the charger.
Children may not clean or maintain the charger without
supervision.
Safety notices for the charger
• Keep the charger away from rain and wet condi-
tions. Water ingress into the charger increases the
risk of an electric shock.
• Keep the charger clean. Dirt increases the risk of
an electric shock.
• Before every use, check the charger, cable and
plug. Do not use the charger if you notice any
damage. Do not open the charger yourself but
have it repaired exclusively by qualified special-
ists and only with original spare parts. Damaged
chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of elec-
tric shock.
• Do not place objects on the charger and do not
put the charger on soft surfaces. Risk of fire
• Always check if the mains voltage corresponds
with the voltage specified on the rating plate of
the charger.
• Never use the charger if the cable, plug or the
charger itself have been damaged by external
influences. Take the charger to the nearest special-
ist service centre
• Do not open the charger under any circumstanc-
es. In the event of a fault, take it to a specialist ser-
vice centre.
