WARNING
In case of extended working periods, the operating per-
sonnel may suffer circulatory disturbances in their
hands (vibration white finger) due to vibrations.
Raynaud's syndrome is a vascular disease that causes
the small blood vessels on the fingers and toes to
cramp in spasms. The affected areas are no longer
supplied with sufficient blood and therefore appear ex-
tremely pale. The frequent use of vibrating products can
cause nerve damage in people whose circulation is im-
paired (e.g. smokers, diabetics).
If you notice unusual adverse effects, stop working im-
mediately and seek medical advice.

WARNING
Danger of injury!
Do not insert the mains plug into the socket until you
are ready to use the product.
WARNING
Always remove the mains plug before carrying out
adjustments on the product.
WARNING
Tool attachments may be sharp and become hot during
use. Always wear protective gloves when handling the
tool attachments.
WARNING
Always make sure that the tool attachment is fitted cor-
rectly!
CAUTION
Unsuitable extension cables could be dangerous. There
is a risk of persons being injured due to electric shock.
General information
• Proceed with caution. Familiarise yourself with the ap-
plication and possible restrictions, but also with the
specific potential dangers.
• Before connecting of the product, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
• Do not overload the product. Use the correct tool for
your application. The correct tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Inadequately informed operators can endanger them-
selves and others through improper use. The operator
is responsible for the safety of third parties.
• Check the product regularly for damage.
• Check whether the moving parts function faultlessly
and do not jam or whether parts are damaged. All
parts must be correctly mounted and all conditions
must be fulfilled to ensure fault-free operation of the
electric tool.

• Do not use the product if the switch cannot be
switched on and off. Damaged switches must be re-
placed by our service centre.
• Ensure that the product is always in good condition
and has been properly lubricated.
• Always pull out the mains plug, before changing the
tool attachment.
• The flat chisel (8) or pointed chisel (9) can get stuck
during operation. This allows high forces to be trans-
ferred to the handles. Ensure you have a secure foot-
ing. Hold the product with both hands during the work.
• Always keep the flat chisel (8) and the pointed chisel
(9) sharp.
• Ensure that no there are no electric cables or gas
pipes etc. where you are working and which can lead
to a hazard if damaged when you use the product.

8.1 Inserting the tool attachment
(8/9/10/11/12) (Fig. 2, 3)
CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when
the product is in operation.
Note:
Clean the shaft of the tool attachment and grease it light-
ly.
The dust cap (7a) largely prevents drilling dust from enter-
ing the tool receiver during operation. When inserting the
tool attachment, take care not to damage the dust cap
(7a).
ATTENTION
A damaged dust cap must be replaced immediately. It
is recommended to have this done by a service centre.
1. Insert the tool attachment (8/9/10/11/12) into the tool
receiver (7) by turning it.
2. The tool attachment (8/9/10/11/12) latches audibly in-
to the tool receiver (7).
3. Check that the tool attachment (8/9/10/11/12) is firmly
seated by pulling on it.
The tool attachment (8/9/10/11/12) has some radial
play due to the system.
8.2 Removing the tool attachment
(8/9/10/11/12) (Fig. 2, 4)
1. Pull the locking sleeve (7b) backwards and remove
the tool attachment (8/9/10/11/12).
8.3 Fitting the depth stop (1a)
(Fig. 2, 5)
1. Slide the depth stop (1a) into the small opening on the
additional handle (6). The teeth on the depth stop (1a)
should point downwards.
