1. Press the button (8) next to the
charge level indicator button (9) on
the battery (10).
The LEDs of the charge level in-
dicator show how much charge re-
mains in the battery.
2. Charge the battery (10) when only
the red LED on the charge level in-
dicator (9) is illuminated.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
• Do not expose the battery to dir-
ect sunlight for long periods and
do not place it on a radiator (max.
50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (10) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (10) into the char-
ging slot of the battery charger
(16).
3. Connect the battery charger (16) to
a power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the bat-
tery charger (16) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (10) out of the bat-
tery charger (16).

Cutter knife (Fig. D)
If the cutter knife (24) is blunt, the
blade can be replaced or the blunt/
damaged segment of the blade can
be broken.
The predetermined breaking points
can be recognised by the indenta-
tions, which are evenly spaced across
the blade.

a blade breaks off, parts may fly
through the air. Wear eye protec-
tion.

blades of a carpet knife are very
sharp. Wear safety gloves.

danger. Dispose of the blade im-
mediately.
