Trouble shooting guide for minor issues
Problem
The iron does not
heat up.
The pilot light does
not switch on.
The clothes tend to
stick.
Water comes out
together with steam.
Steam does not
come out.
Spray does not
work.
Water drips out of
the soleplate.
Smoke comes out
when connecting the
iron for the first time.

Probable cause
1. T emperature control dial in very low
position.
2. N o mains supply.
1. T he iron is cooling.
2. T he iron does not heat up.
1. T he temperature is too high.
1. T emperature regulator in very low
position.
2. S team regulator in very high position
with low temperature.
1. S team regulator in closed position
2. N o water in the tank.
3. T he temperature is too low. Anti-drip
system not activated.
1. N o water in the tank.
2. O bstructed mechanism.
1. T he steam regulator is not properly
closed.
1. L ubrication of some of the internal
parts.
Solution
1. T urn to a higher position.
2. C heck with another appliance or
plug the iron into a different socket.
1. W ait until the heating cycle is
completed.
2. S ee previous paragraph.
1. T urn the temperature control dial
down and wait until the iron has
cooled down.
1. T urn the temperature control dial
regulator to a higher position and
wait until the operating indicator
switches off.
2. T urn the steam regulator to a lower
position.
1. T urn the steam regulator to an

open steam position.
2. F ill the tank.
3. S et a higher temperature if
compatible with the fabric.
1. F ill the water tank.
2. C ontact the Technical Service.
1. E nsure the steam regulator is set
to the position .
Do not forget to empty the tank
when you have finished ironing.
1. T his is normal and will stop after a
few minutes.
