9. Initial Operation
a) Removing the Vehicle Body
The vehicle body is secured with holding clips which must be slid out from the retaining pins. The body can then be
taken off.
b) Laying the Receiver Antenna Cable
The receiver's antenna cable is normally rolled up on delivery. Unwrap the antenna cable completely and smoothen it
carefully.
Guide it through the antenna tube and plug the antenna tube into the attachment on the vehicle.
If a rubber cap is enclosed for the antenna tube, it prevents the dislocation of the cable after attachment on the tip.
Make sure that the cable doesn't become entangled in the vehicle drive unit.
Never shorten or trim the antenna cable, this reduces the control range. Do not roll up any excess
antenna cable (which doesn't fit in the antenna tube) either! Simply let it hang loosely from the antenna
tube.
c) Placing the Rechargeable Batteries in the Vehicle
Warning!
The rechargeable battery must not yet be connected to the control unit!
On one side of the vehicle there is a battery pack compartment. The attachment of the rechargeable battery pack is
carried out using a plastic brace which is secured using two attachment clips.
Insert the rechargeable battery pack in a manner that the connection cable cannot be caught in the steering mechanism
or the drive.
d) Inserting Batteries / Rechargeable Batteries in the Transmitter
If you have not done so already, insert the rechargeable battery/batteries into the transmitter. Please observe correct
polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) see the labelling on the battery compartment on the transmitter. To open the battery
compartment, simply slide the compartment cover forwards and then lift it off.
