7. Transmitter Controls

1 Telescopic antenna
The telescopic antenna can be unscrewed for transport if
required.
2 On/Off switch
This slide switch turns the transmitter on (switch position "I")
or off (switch position "0"). Never turn the transmitter off when
the model is in operation!
3 Power-LED; is lit when the transmitter is on or flashes if the
battery/rechargeable battery voltage is too low
4 Slide switch "ST.REV" for reverse (steering)
If the steering is reacting in the exact opposite direction to the
steering wheel commands, you can reverse the steering
direction using this slide switch.
5 Slide switch "TH.REV" for reverse (throttle/drive)
This reverses the response of the vehicle's drive (forwards/
backwards) to the movement of the lever (10).
6 Steering trim
Using this control, you can set the steering alignment of the
vehicle. Set steering trim on the transmitter so that the front
wheels are approximately facing straight ahead. An exact
setting of alignment is carried out later when driving the vehicle.
7 Neutral drive setting trim
The neutral setting can be set exactly so that the vehicle will
stop when the lever (10) is released.
8 Replaceable Crystal
Both the transmitter and the receiver must have a crystal with the same frequency.
The transmitter crystals are generally labelled "T" or "TX" ("T" = "Transmit"), the receiver crystal is marked "R" or
"RX" ("R" = "Receive"). Do not mix up the two crystals!
9 Steering wheel
10 Lever for forward/reverse drive
Using this lever, you can control the vehicle's drive/throttle and the brake function. Refer to the corresponding
chapter (9. i) of these operating instructions.
11 Battery compartment
Insert 8 type mignon/AA batteries or 8 rechargeable batteries in the correct polarity. The correct polarity is labelled
in the battery compartment.
