Operation within a DHW/central heating system

Material losses

Only operate the direct heater rod when the radiator has
been filled.
Winter mode
The DHW/central heating system is running. You can control the
appliance temperature via the on-site thermostatic valve.
Summer mode
Even when the DHW/central heating system is off, the appliance is
operated via an integral electric direct heater rod. You can switch
on the boost function via the user interface.
4.4.1 Switching between winter and summer mode
Changing from winter to summer mode
f Close the on-site thermostatic valve. f
1 ON indicator for the direct heater rod
2 ON/OFF switch for the direct heater rod
f Press the ON/OFF switch for the direct heater rod to switch it f
on.
The ON indicator for the direct heater rod lights up.
Changing from summer to winter mode
f Press the ON/OFF switch for the direct heater rod to switch it f
off.
The ON indicator for the direct heater rod goes off.
f Press the ON/OFF switch to turn the appliance off. f
The ON indicator goes off. You can only operate the appliance via
the on-site thermostatic valve.
f Set the on-site thermostatic valve to the required f
temperature.

Shutting down

f Switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF switch for f
the user interface.
The ON indicator goes off.
f Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket. f
f If you operate the appliance within a DHW/central heating f
system, close the on-site thermostatic valve.

Childproofing

To prevent any unwanted appliance operation, you can lock the
temperature selector or limit its setting range.
f Turn the temperature selector to the required setting. f
f Lever out the temperature selector using a small screwdriver. f
Locking the temperature selector
1 Retainer for contact pieces
2 Contact piece placed in the setting range
f Remove one of the contact pieces from its retainer using a f
cutting tool and position it as shown.
Limiting the setting range
f Remove both contact pieces from their retainer using a cut- f
ting tool.
