floating installation, leave space around the perimeter and also install suitable expansion
joints for the type of parquet. We recommend installing the joints near the separation
between each room.
Installation on heated/cooled subfloor, and in environments without sufficient ventilation
may cause the wood elements to crack or swell. We therefore recommend carefully
calibrating the system so that the surface temperature of the flooring does not exceed
27°C. A temperature of 18–22°C and relative humidity of 45–65% must be guaranteed.
Any discolouring due to the presence of rugs or other objects tends to disappear when
the flooring is exposed to light.
D] INFORMATION ON WOOD TYPE CHARACTERISTICS
Because wood is a natural material, it has hue and texture differences that make each element
unique. Each type of wood has different characteristics in terms of hardness, light refraction,
shrinkage, grain, and absorption of surface finishes (varnish, oil, wax, etc.).
For this reason, each floor is unique and authentic, and samples or photos are to be understood
as non-binding indications. In addition, upon delivery, the flooring may also differ clearly from
the samples, in that once exposed to light, wood generally tends to darken and grow more
uniform. For oak, some elements may have shinier streaks called Medullary rays. Different
wood species differ in hardness and may become dented due to impacts or falling objects,
loads concentrated over small areas (such as high heels, ladders, etc.), or small objects such
as cleats or stones in the soles of shoes. Any surface varnish serves as protection, but it does
not prevent the events described above. Such phenomena are strictly related to the nature of
the flooring and may therefore not be considered defects.

E] INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Wood is an organic material that tends to adapt spontaneously to the environmental
G
conditions. It may therefore naturally be subject to slight deformations. Due to its
dimensions, and large widths in particular, the board may even deform significantly if not
adequately preserved.
For correct maintenance, wood flooring requires specific precautions:
- Maintain an air temperature of 15–22°C and ensure it never drops below 10°C.
- Keep the humidity level between 45% and 65%.
Humidity levels outside this range may lead to cracks between the planks, hairline cracks,
separation of the top layer from the stabilizing wood support, and swelling. It is therefore
essential to ensure the correct environmental conditions, even when the rooms are not
used. We recommend checking the humidity in winter and using a humidifier if the air is
too dry.
- Avoid flooding and humidity rising from the subfloor, which can irreversibly damage
the flooring.
- Avoid the use of alcohol, acidic solvents, or ammonia, which can irreparably damage
the finish.
- Avoid loading small sections of the flooring with concentrated heavy weights.
- Do not cover the flooring with rugs or mats to avoid discolouring due to a localized
lack of exposure to light.
16
- Place protective felt under the feet of furniture and the legs of chairs, stools, ladders,
etc., to avoid denting the surface. If a chair has wheels, give preference to rubber
wheels.
- Place a clean doormat at the entrance to avoid damaging the flooring with abrasive
particles attached to the soles of shoes.
- Pay attention to any pets.
F] CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Varnished flooring has been surface treated to protect it from dirt. With proper care, its
beauty and characteristics will be long lasting.
For ordinary cleaning, we recommend removing dust with suitable dust-trapping cloths,
a string mop, or vacuum cleaner. To wash the flooring, use a well-wrung cloth dampened
with water and a neutral detergent. Do not use alcohol, ammonia, or solvents, which may
damage the surface.
4 - NOTES FOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING
The heating fluid must have a maximum temperature of 30°C, thus transmitting a
maximum temperature of 25°C to the floor.
Fire resistance should be guaranteed for the varnish coating on the oak, in compliance
with UNI-EN 13501-1: 2019:
- Reaction to fire Bfl
- Smoke production S1
5 - HUE AND DESIGN IN DIFFERENT PRODUCTION BATCHES
A uniform hue and design cannot be guaranteed across different production batches.
