mechanism. We recommend fitting a
drive-belt guard.

Replace if worn
Gates Carbon Drive™ sprockets and belts are
highly resistant and designed to last, even so they
are subject to wear over time. Regularly inspect
the belt and sprockets for any sign of wear:
This belt is in excellent condition. The loss of
the blue colour is not a sign of wear
1. Shark's tooth, 2. Non symmetric, 3. Cracks,
4. Missing tooth, 5. Coating worn away, the
polyurethane is exposed, 6. Exposed carbon cords
Replace the belt if it shows any signs of wear.
WARNING: Using a worn or damaged Carbon
Drive belt, or failing to inspect the Carbon Drive
belt correctly before use may lead to material
damage, serious injury or even death.
