Adjusting the Nexus integrated gear hub
Step 1: Position the lever to 3rd gear (for 5-speed
bikes) or 4th gear (for 7-speed bikes)
Step 2: Check the alignment of the yellow dots on
the rear wheel.
Step 3: Use the adjustment wheel on the
handlebars to adjust the position of the yellow dot.
Always contact your approved O2Feel reseller
if:
•
Your chain jumps, or
•
You hear an unusual noise, or
•
The gears do not change seamlessly, or
•
The gear changing mechanism, the derailleur or
any other component of the drivetrain system is
not tightened properly, damaged or twisted, or
•
The chain is faulty or worn.
Adjusting chaintension
It is best to have any type of adjustment done at an
approved O2Feel reseller. However, if any doubt
about the chain tension, use a tension gauge to
determine weather the chain is worn or not. If
the chain is worn, please have it replaced at the
approved O2Feel reseller. If not, you can tension
the chain if you can move the chain up or down
more than 15mm from the middle point.
Because this bike does not have chaintensioners
but sliders it is recommended to have this done by
the O2Feel reseller.
Step 1: Place the gauge witht the side that has two
tips facing the right side of the chain and put it
between the rollers.
Step 2: Hold the right side down with the two pins
between the rollers.
Step 3: Press the left side down and read the result
on the gauge at the point where the tip does not
go down between the rollers further.
When the chain wear is at 0.75% or more, have
the chain replaced by the approved O2Feel
reseller.
