Displayed when the light connected to the drive
unit is ON.
(D) Maintenance alert
Indicates that maintenance is required. Contact
your place of purchase or a distributor if this icon
is displayed.
(E) Current time
(F) ABS warning * 2
For a bicycle with an ABS, indicates that ABS is not
operating.
(G) Gear position
Displays the current gear position for electronic
gear shifting.
(H) Automatic / manual gear shifting * 3
[M]: Displayed for manual gear shifting.
(I) Bar display
Displays the current assist mode or the state of the
output from the drive unit. Can also be displayed
from the sub screen.

2.2.3 Using the bike

1. Switch on the bike.
• Do not put your feet on the pedals when you are switching on the bike. This may cause a system error.
• The power supply cannot be activated when charging.
2. Choose your preferred assistance mode.
Steep slope
3. Assistance starts when the pedals start to turn.
4. Change your assistance mode depending on your cycling conditions.
5. Turn off the bike when you are no longer using it.
(J) Assist mode display
Displays the current assist mode. On the sub
screen, the assist mode is displayed using the color
of the bar only.

(K) Current speed
(L) Four-division display
Refer to the " Switching to the sub screen " section.
