General safety instructions
Improper use or usage beyond the intended scope may lead to component or material failure, posing a risk of
accidents and injury:
- Always respect the limitations of the designated field of use. You can find this information in Chapter 3
"Important Information" and on the frame identification.
- Do not exceed the permitted total weight (bike + rider + possible cargo). This information is provided in
Chapter 4 "Technical Data".
- Note that your bike is designed for single-person use.
- Tampering with the drive system, especially tuning, is not permitted.
- Do not exceed any specified service life of components.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding the transport of people, loads, and other items.
Before each ride, check your bike for possible damage, especially to the frame, fork, handlebar/stem unit, drive
unit, and seat post.
Do not use your bike if any damage is detected (e.g. cracks, scratches, discoloration).
Be aware of the risk of burns from high temperatures on individual components (e.g. brakes, drive unit,
headlight).
Follow the manufacturer's specifications when mounting accessories (e.g. bags, locks). Observe the legal
requirements applicable in your country for use in public road traffic.
When transporting your bike, follow the instructions in Chapter 10 "Transporting Your ROTWILD Bike", legal
regulations, and the guidelines of the transport company.
