3. Connect the HDMI input (NOT the HDMI ARC/eARC port!) of your audio device to the HDMI
audio output
4. Connect the power supply unit to the AX211 and plug it into a power socket. Then switch on
your display, followed by the external player.
Caution: When plugging and unplugging the HDMI cables, make sure that the plug contacts are not
dirty or damaged. Make connections without power and switch on the devices only after they have
been connected. Please also ensure that the HDMI cables are of good quality - especially for 4k
transmission.
eARC button
If your television or video projector has an HDMI eARC/ARC connection, use it to connect to the TV
output of the AX211 (see below for exceptions). Then switch on eARC on the AX211.
Advantages:
1. When playing TV apps or TV reception, the sound is automatically played through the sound
system. When playing from an external player, its sound is transmitted to the soundbar.
2. You can control the volume of the sound system with the remote control of the display or player
if you have activated CEC control everywhere. The player and display can be switched on and off
together.
3. You can use the auto power function. This means that when you start the display or the player,
the AX21 switches on and off.
If your display does not have an HDMI ARC port (e.g. a monitor), it is best to switch off eARC.
Otherwise, the eARC LED will flash. You can still play the sound from the player.
If you connect an AV receiver to the AX211 and also want to connect its HDMI output to the dis-
play, we recommend switching off the eARC function on the AX211. A television can only cope with
a single device with eARC.

Auto Power Function

The extractor switches on together with the display or player and activates the sound system (if
supported). When one device is switched off, all other devices, including the AX211, are also
switched off. This requires that the connected television or projector is connected via its HDMI
ARC or HDMI eARC port. HDMI-CEC must be active on all devices and the eARC LED on the AX211
must be lit continuously. If the display does not have an HDMI-ARC port, the auto power function is
unfortunately not possible.
EDID switch and management
Via EDID (Extended Display Identification Data), a display or soundbar connected via HDMI signals
which image resolution and sound formats it supports. The player then automatically outputs the
best supported signal. This ensures that only video or audio formats that can be processed are
