3.2 Operation

Prepare your food by removing all non-edible parts, such as seeds and stalks from vegeta-

bles or bones from meat. Cut the food into pieces of the desired size and thickness.

Never use hard or sharp-edged objects such as knives or forks on the appliance.
Remove food from the grill plates after cooking with wooden or heat-resistant plastic
tongs. Do not use any objects that melt, char, deform or develop harmful substances
when exposed to heat.
Use the supplied spatulas to remove cooked food from the pans.
Do not place cloths or napkins over or under the appliance.
Fat and cooking juices will spray out of the food. Do not stand too close to the appli-
ance.
Fill the pans only so high that the food does not touch the heating elements. Always
store pans not in use in the resting tray or outside the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface.

Prepare the appliance as described in the chapter "Assembly. "
2.
Ensure that the grill plates (5) are correctly placed on the frame of the appliance
base (7) and the holders.

For the rst use, drip a little cooking oil onto a kitchen paper and rub it over the
surface of the grill plates.

Place the pans in the resting tray (11).

Make sure that the temperature control knob (13) is set to "0. "
6.
Plug the power plug into the outlet.
7.
Turn the temperature control knob to the desired setting to switch on the appliance
(MAX = approx. 210 °C on the grill plates).

The control light on the knob lights up red.

Once the appliance has reached the set temperature, the control light goes out. The
heating-up time from a high temperature takes longer than from a low one.
10. Switch on the extractor hood with the ventilation switch (14) at the desired speed (I
or II).
11. Prepare your pans and slide them into the raclette surface (10) or place your food on
the grill plates.
12. After cooking, remove your food from the grill plates with tongs and the food from
the pans using the supplied spatulas.
13. Switch o the appliance by turning the temperature control knob to "0" and the
ventilation switch to "O. "
3.3 Adjusting the Extractor Hood
You can adjust the ventilation slots on the left and right sides of the hood manually. The
controls are located on both sides of the appliance.
