The shortening can also be done by removing 2-3 links
per band side. The links that can be removed are marked
with an arrow.
1. Insert the band into the band changing tool so that
the arrows are on the bottom plate of the tool and
point in the direction of the ejection (away from the
screw), as shown in drawing 1. The tip of the screw
on the band changing tool must point exactly to the
composite pin that you want to remove. It may be
necessary to lift the band slightly to push out the
composite pin.
2. Push the composite pin
slowly screwing it in the direction of the arrow. Take
out the composite pin and remove the second com-
posite pin in the same way. Take out the chain link
