received a signal, the time is automatically adjus-
ted.
SETTING THE TIME ZONE
The time is coded (DCF77) and broadcast by a long-wa-
ve transmitter in Mainflingen near Frankfurt/Main over
a transmission range of around 1,500 km. If your radio
controlled watch is within this transmission range, it re-
ceives this signal, converts it and always shows the exact
time regardless of summer or winter time. When the DCF
radio signal is received, the time zone „1" is automatically
assigned.
The earth is divided into 24 time zones. A time zone is a
section of the earth's surface on which a common time
