2. Checking for the electric source and the voltage
range
2.1. Before installation, the power sourcemust be checkedand
necessary wiring work must be completed.
TO make the wiring capacity proper, use the wire gaugeslist
below for the lead-in from a pole transformer and for the wiring
from a switch board of fuse box to the outlet in consideration of
the locked rotor current.

23. Investigate the power supply capacity and other electrical
conditions at the installating location.
Depending on the model of room air conditioner to be in-
stalled, request the customer.tomakearrangements for the neces-
sary electrical work etc.
The electrical work includes the wiring work up the outlet.
In localities where electrical conditions are poor, use of a
voltage regulation is recommended.
2.4. Install the outlet for the room air conditioner within
reaching range of the line cord.

3. Installation procedure and notice
Caution:
At installation the exclusive refrigerating pipe set should be used.
Especially, the installation place is very important for the split
type air conditioner, becauseit is very difficult to move from
placeto placeafter the first installation.
3.1. Before connecting pipes, make a hole of 3-3/16"—4"
(80 —100mm) in diameterat the wall.

2. Überprüfung der Stromquelle und der Spannung
2.1. Vor der Montage muß die Stromquellegeprüft werden,und
unter Umständenist eine entsprechendeNetzleitung zu verlegen.
Es ist Sicherzustellen, daß die Leitung unter Berücksichtigung des
Anlaufstrome stark genugausgelegtist. Man beziehe sich daher
auf untenstehende Tabelle.

2.2. Die Versorgungsspannung muß auf Einhaltung einer Tole-
ranz von ihres.Nennwertes geprüft werden.

3. Montagevorgänge und Hinweise
Bei einem Klimagerät der vorliegendenBauweise (mit getrenntem
Zimmer- und Außengerät) ist der Aufstellungsort besonders
sorgfältig auszuwählen,da ein Umsetzender bereits installierten
Geräte mit Schwierigkeiten verbunden ist.
3.1. Wanddurchbruch und Vorbereitung der Leitungsanschlüsse.
In der Wand ist ein Durchbruch mit einem Durchmesser von 80æ
100mm vorzunehmen.

3.4. Connecting of coupling
(I) Cover the indoor side of the refrigeratingpipeswith the insu-
lation pipe-B which is belonged to the unit and then wind the

(3) Remove thedust capof eachcoupling,andkeepthe removed
dust capsin the eachunit.
(4) Fit the centerof couplingseachotherandtightenthe coupl-
ing thread3 or 5 revolutionsby hand.
Cau tion:
I. Low side pipe is covered by insulator, but high side pipe is
not covered. Be careful to connect the pipes to the unit cor-
rectly.
2. If you can not tighten the coupling thread 3 or 5 revolu-
tions by hand easily, the center of couplings are not fitted
mutually.
3. When tightening the coupling of the condensing unit set
the chargingvalve on it to the proper direction for easyrefrig-
erant charging.
(5) After that, tighten the couplingreally usingthe exclusiveuse
torque wrench, and continue the tightening of coupling until it
is heard like a sound "Click" from the torque wrench.
Caution:
I. Never use except the exclusive use torque wrench in the
tightening.
2. Turn the torque wrench toward the direction only, indi-
cated by arrow mark on the wrench surface in the tightening
3 without faü.

3.4. Anschluß der Kupplung
(I) Die Innenseite der Kältemittelleitungen ist mit dem Isolier.
mantel zu bedecken und mit dem Vinylklebeband (in Leitungs-
satz enthalten) zu befestigen. Vgl. Abb. 10.

(2) Das Rohrende, das zum Innenteil der Anlage ff.hrt, ist sozu
formen, daß sich ein Anschluß an die Kupplung der Kühleinheit
(Zimmergerät) leicht vornehmenläßt. Vgl. Abb. 11.

(3) Die Staubschutzkappen der Kupplungen sind abzunehmen
und fir späteren Gebrauch aufzubewahren.
(4) Die Kupplung am Gerät festmachen und durch 3 bis 5 Urn-
drehungen von Hand verschrauben.
Achtung:
I. Der untere Teil der Leitung ist mit einem Isoliermantel
umhüllt, der ObereTeil jedoch nicht. Man arbeite vorsichtig,
beim Anschließender Leitungen.
2. Wenn sich die Kupplung nicht um 3 bis 5 Umdrehungen
von Hand drehen läßt, ist das ein Zeichen dafür, daß die zwei
Kupplungsteile nicht richtig sitzen.
3. Beim Festziehen der Kupplung der Kondensatoreinheit
(Außengerät) ist auf richtige Einbaurichtung des Ladeventils
zu achten, um ungehinderten Kältemittelfluß sicherzustellen.
(5) Danach die Kupplung mit Hilfe des SpeziaI-Drehmoment-
schlüsselsrichtig festziehen, bis ein Klickgeräusch vom Dreh-
momentschlüssel vernommen
Achtung:
1. Man verwende hierzu ausschließlich den speziellenDreh-
momentschlüssel.
2. Der Schlüsseldarf nur in Richtung desPfeiles,der auf der
Flachseite des Schlüsselseingezeichnet ist, bedient werden.
