• The product may only be used outdoor briefly when
the ambient conditions are dry.
• The product must always be kept dry and must not be
left outdoors after work is complete.
9.1
Mains power connection
• The product is equipped with a mains cable with an
earthed plug. This can be connected to any mains
socket 230 V~ 50 Hz with an earth contact and that is
protected at 16 A.
• Before commissioning, ensure that the mains voltage
matches with the operating voltage and the machine's
power rating on the type plate.
• Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels, etc.
cause a drop in voltage and can impede motor start-
up.
• At low temperatures below +5 °C, sluggishness may
make starting difficult or impossible.

10 Operation

10.1
On/Off switch (2) (Fig. 1)
1. Insert the mains plug into a properly fused mains
socket.
2. Pull the On/off switch (2) upwards to switch on the
compressor.
3. Press the On/off switch (2) down to switch off.
10.2
Adjusting the pressure (Fig. 1)
1. The pressure at the pressure gauge (7) is adjusted
with the pressure regulator (5).
2. The pressure set can be drawn from the quick cou-
pling (6).
10.3
Adjusting the pressure switch (3)
(Fig. 1)
The pressure switch (3) is set at the factory.
Cut-in pressure approx. 6 bar
Cut-out pressure approx. 8 bar
10.4
Fitting the compressed air hose*
(Fig. 1)
Connect the plug nipple* of the compressed air hose* to
the quick coupling (6). Then connect the compressed air
tool* to the quick coupling* of the compressed air hose*.

11 Electrical connection

The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. The customer's
mains connection as well as the extension cable used
must also comply with these regulations.
When working with spraying equipment and attachments
as well as during temporary outdoor use, it is essential to
connect the product via a residual current circuit break-
er with a tripping current of 30 mA or less.
11.1
Damaged electrical connection
cables
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are passed
through windows or doors,
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improper-
ly fastened or routed,
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over,
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall
socket,
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not be
used and are life-threatening due to the insulation dam-
age.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage regu-
larly. Ensure that the connection cables are disconnected
from electrical power when checking for damage.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the appli-
cable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection ca-
bles of the same designation.
The printing of the type designation on the connection ca-
ble is mandatory.
Safety information for replacing damaged or defective
mains connection cables
Connection type Y
If it is necessary to replace the mains connection cable,
this must be done by the manufacturer or their represen-
tative to avoid safety hazards.
11.2
AC motor
Connections and repair work on the electrical equipment
may only be carried out by electricians.
• The mains voltage must be 230 V~
• Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a cross-
section of 1.5 mm².
11.3
Important information
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself off.
After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor can be
switched back on again.

12 Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING
Have maintenance and repair tasks that are
not described in this operating manual, car-
