4.3 Description
The instrument was developed in order to transmit sensor signals wirelessly. The
instrument is connected to a sensor and takes readings from it. These values are made
available in the respective radio protocol.
The wireless transmission is achieved via LoRaWAN
technology (low-power wide-area network) to enable large transmission ranges and
long battery life, or via Bluetooth
The instrument is powered by a battery.
The instrument meets all safety requirements of relevant standards and regulations of
the Radio Equipment Directive for data communication. The instrument is a product that
meets high requirements and transmits data with excellent reliability.
The transmission of the sensor signal to the IIoT platform is carried out at a preset
transmission interval. The sending intervals, and also the alarm limits, can be configured
over the IIoT platform. In addition, the instrument status (current measuring value,
battery life, etc.) can also be queried and set on-site via a mobile device using a local
interface via Bluetooth
