4.23 Alarm (egg timer)
The timer can be used as an alarm also if it is already used by one or more hotplates.
• The alarm can be adjusted in a range of 1 min to 1 h 59 min.
• The alarm works with the same procedure as for the cooking zone timer. The Timer LED of the alarm is
the one between the Minus and Plus keys.
4.24 Keep warm
With the keep warm function, you keep food warm with a specific
temperature. The respective cooking zone is operated at a low
power level. This function can be used also for melting and
simmering.
Pressing the Warm function button of a cooking zone activates the "warming"; by repeatedly pressing the
Warm function button the warming level is increased from "Melting" (42°C) to "Keeping warm" (70°C) and
finally to "Cooking" (94°C). If the Warm function button is pressed a fourth time "warming" function ends.
4.25 Manual/Automatic fan
By default the fan is set in automatic mode, so the fan speed is regulated automatically following the
cooking zone with the highest power currently active.
Activating the manual mode:
1. With the hob switched on, choose the desired fan speed on the hood slider from 0 (fan switched off) to
P. The LED "A" is now dimmed.
Activating the automatic mode:
1. Press and hold the hood Automatic key on the hood slider to activate the automatic mode. The LED "A"
is now fully brightened.
Notes:
• In automatic mode, increasing the power of a cooking zone will cause an automatic increase of the fan
speed; decreasing the power of a cooking zone will cause an automatic decrease of the fan speed.
• The actual steam generation of the cooking process is delayed; so, when changinng the cooking level,
the automatic fan level will follow generally after a 20 seconds delay.
4.26 Fan after-run
The system has a follow-up / after-run function, which should ensure that any existing odour and steam
can be extracted. After completing the cooking process and switching off the hob, the fan continues to run
for 5 minutes at level 1.
Notes:
• The fan after run is indicated by a pulsating dot on the fan power level display.
• The fan speed can also be changed in the after-run. After-run ends immediately if 0 is selected.
4.27 Fan timer
There is the possibility to set a fan timer analogue to the cooking zone timer. The timer is displayed on the
timer display and does not start to run until the cooking process has finished.
The following situations can occur:
• Manual mode, situation 1: fan level set, fan timer set, all cooking zones switched off but the cooktop
