3.1. Service and maintenance
Regular maintenance of the REMS Detect GS3 is not required. Operating
capability should be checked occasionally by a function test.
REMS Manufacturer Warranty
The warranty period shall be 12 months from delivery of the new product to the first
user. The time of delivery must be proven by sending in the original documents of
purchase which must contain the date of purchase and the product designation.
All functional defects occurring within the warranty period, which are clearly the
consequence of defects in production or materials, will be remedied free of charge.
The remedy of defects shall not extend or renew the warranty period for the product.
Damage attributable to natural wear and tear, incorrect treatment or misuse, failure
to observe the operational instructions, unsuitable operating materials, excessive
demand, use for unauthorized purposes, interventions by the customer or a third
party or other reasons, for which REMS is not responsible, shall be excluded from
the warranty Excluded from this manufacturer warranty are, especially, accessories
(e.g. probes, sensors), pumps, wearing parts (e.g. rechargeable batteries/batteries,
printers) and consumables (e.g. printer paper, filter material).
Warranty services may only be provided by REMS Messtechnik GmbH & Co KG.
Complaints will only be accepted if the product is submitted to REMS Messtechnik
GmbH & Co KG without previous interventions and without having been dismantled.
Replaced products and parts shall become the property of REMS.
The user shall be responsible for the cost of shipping and returning the product.
The product must be sent in to REMS Messtechnik GmbH & Co KG. The users' legal
rights, especially their warranty claims against the seller in case of defects as well
as claims due to wilful breach of obligations and claims regarding product liability
law, are not restricted by this warranty.
This warranty is subject to German law with exclusion of the reference regulations
of German International Private Law as well as exclusion of the United Nations
Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Warrantor of
this world-wide valid manufacturer's warranty is REMS GmbH & Co KG, Stuttgarter
Str. 83, 71332 Waiblingen, Germany.
Extension of the manufacturer warranty
For the measuring units sold through REMS GmbH & Co KG, it is possible to extend
the warranty period of the above manufacturer warranty within 30 days of delivery to
the first user by registering the measuring unit under www.rems.de/service. Prerequisite
is that the measuring unit is serviced every 12 months by REMS GmbH & Co KG
or an authorised service partner for measuring units. The appropriate time periods
listed in table 1 apply for the respective measuring unit or accessory.
Claims from the extended manufacturer warranty can be made only by registered first
users on condition that the rating plate of the measuring unit has not been removed
or changed and the data are legible. Transfer of the rights is excluded.
