7.2 Changing the Measu-
rement Needles

The Measuring Needles have a limited Life Time.
Therefore the Hammer Probe comes with Re-
placement Measuring Needles, which are situated
in a hole in the guide rod.
NOTE!
The Measuring Needles must be changed, when
the coating is damaged.
• Unscrew the grip from the guide rod.
• Take the Replacement Measuring Needles out
of the guide rod.
NOTE!
After changing the Needles, we recommend to
substitute the Replacement Needles in the guide
rod at once (see accessories).
• Unscrew the grip and use it to detach the
union nuts of the needles.
• Replace the needles by the new ones.
• Screw the union nuts on the contact screw of
the needles.
• Screw the grip on the guide rod again.
