as described above in order to gain access to them.
IMPORTANT: if the grubscrews are loose, apply a
drop of thread-lock fluid to them, e.g. UHU
schraubensicher, Order No. 952, as vibration could
cause them to work loose again while the boat is
running.
•
Open up the outermost hole in the double-ended
servo output lever using a 2 mm Ø bit, so that the
rudder pushrod fits in it. Press the rubber grommets
(supplied with the servo) into the mounting lugs of
the rudder servo, followed by the brass spacer
sleeves, which are fitted into the holes in the
grommets from the underside. Place the rudder
servo in the opening in the hull, drill 1.5 mm Ø pilot-
holes through the grommets, and fit the retaining
screws to secure the servo. IMPORTANT: take
care not to damage the servo lead by trapping it
under one of the screws.

Set the rudder to the 'straight ahead' position, mark
the point where the rudder pushrod crosses the
linkage hole, and bend it at right-angles at that
point. Fit the angled end in the hole, and secure it
with a plastic retaining clip (keeper).

Solder a 20 cm length of twin-core cable to each of
the two drive batteries, and attach G2 plugs to the
free ends. The batteries are secured in the model
using Velcro (hook-and-loop) tape. NOTE: the two
other batteries are only required as ballast weight,
but they can also be used as supplementary drive
batteries at your own discretion; this option is not
shown on the wiring diagram. NOTE: the Velcro
tape provides an easy method of adjusting the
battery position, in order to achieve the correct fore-
and-aft trim. TIP: once you have established the
correct trim, mark the battery positions using a
waterproof felt-tip pen, so that you can be sure of
re-installing them in the correct position.

First of all the jollyboats must be installed to the
superstructure, stations and positions, and then the
stern torpedo liners and cranes can be fixed on the
model, as shown in the picture. Please use fast
setting glue.
