After use and before storage, the following work
must be carried out on the devices:
• Thorough cleaning of the chain hoist,
• Good lubrication of chain hoist,
• Good lubrication of hoist chain and load hook chain
If the chain hoist is used outdoors, it must be checked
at regular intervals for damage caused by corrosion.
Setting the brake (Fig. 6-7):

Attention:
If possible, have all settings and service work on
the braking system carried out only by trained spe-
cialist personnel!
• Remove the housing cover by separately unscrew-
ing the 3 screws on the back of the device.
• To disassemble the safety splint, its legs must be
pressed together (Fig. 6/E).
• Fix the chain guide wheel (Fig. 7/D) by hand.
• Now turn the adjusting screw (Fig. 6/C & Fig. 7) to-
wards the desired position.

Note:
It must be possible to turn the chain guide wheel
(Fig. 7/D) in both a clockwise and an anti-clockwise
direction. Do not overtighten the adjusting screw
(Fig. 6/C).
• Turning the key (Fig. 7/K 19 mm) clockwise increas-
es the braking effect.
• Turning the key (Fig. 7/K 19 mm) anti-clockwise re-
duces the braking effect.
• Replace the safety splint and secure it by bending
open the legs.

Note:
If the braking effect is lost, take the device to a spe-
cialist workshop for inspection. Have the strength
of the brake discs checked at regular intervals by a
specialist workshop.
Lifting chain
The lifting chains have a sufficiently long lifespan. Nev-
ertheless, it may be the case that the lifespan is reduced
due to external influences. If the length of 21 chain links
exceeds 400 mm, the lifting chain must be replaced.

Load hook
The load hook can become deformed if handled in-
correctly, e.g. overloaded. The load hook must be re-
placed immediately if the dimension G reaches the limit
value of 26 mm.

A failure to observe these results in safety no
longer being guaranteed.

ing parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear,
or that the following parts are required as consuma-
bles.

10. Storage
Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children. The op-
timum storage temperature lies between 5 and 30 ˚C.
11. Transport
Transport the device in a suitable container. Make sure
that all chain parts are stored safely.
