5.5 Accuracy classes
The accuracy class is the error limit in percent of the measuring range. The
error limit applies to both positive and negative deviations, based on the
measured value.
The accuracy limits of Bourdon tube pressure gauges are defined in EN
837-1, the accuracy limits of capsule pressure gauges in EN 837-3.
Classes 0.1 to 0.6 products are primarily used for precision measurements
in, for example, laboratories and workshops. Classes 1.0 and 1.6 products
measure the pressure at machines and production facilities. Classes 2.5 and
4 products are used for monitoring purposes without special accuracy
requirements.
 When selecting the accuracy class, take into account the assignment of
the classes to the nominal sizes (EN 837-1 / EN 837-3).
5.6 Connection piece
 Select the size and the type of the connection thread as per to EN 837-1/
EN 837-3 and observe the selection table as per EN 837-1(combinations:
pressure, thread, nominal size, materials).
Contact the manufacturer for other connections for specific industries or
applications.
5.7 Nominal sizes
The nominal size as per EN 837-1 / 837-3 relates to the housing diameter in
mm. The following nominal sizes are standardised: 50, 63, 100 and 160.
5.8 Cleanliness
 Verify that your product meets the requirements in terms of cleanliness
before you install it.
