UNSUITABLE PRESSURE GAUGES
•
Only use pressure gauges which are suitable for the actual operating condi-
tions (for example, measuring range, ambient conditions, medium, materials,
overpressure safety).
•
Verify that the selection criteria as per EN 837-2 as well as all directives,
standards and safety regulations pertaining to the application of the pressure
gauge are adhered to.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury or
equipment damage.
If the pressure gauge is not installed and operated in compliance with these
operating instructions and with the conditions specified in the applicable
standards and directives, it may burst. In such a case, parts can be ejected
under high pressure and medium can escape.
EJECTED PARTS AND ESCAPING MEDIUM
•
Install and operate the product in compliance with the application data spec-
ified in these operating instructions and in the applicable directives, stand-
ards and safety regulations.
•
Take all necessary measures to protect against hazards, based on the
results of your risk assessment, for example, install a protective cover.
•
Use a safety pressure gauge if your risk assessment shows that ejected
parts and escaping medium pose an unacceptable hazard.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury or
equipment damage.
