IMPOrtANt SAFetY INStrUCtIONS
WArNINg! Read and observe all safety instructions below. Failure to
observe these instructions may result in considerable risks of accident
and injury as well as damage to property and the appliance.
• Mains connection: The voltage must comply with the information provided on
the rating plate of the appliance.
• Check appliance/mains cable/extension cord for flaws. Never put damaged
products (incl. mains cable) into operation – have them repaired/replaced by
the manufacturer, its service centre or qualified specialists.
• Do not kink, trap or bend the mains cable over sharp edges. Risk of short circuit
due to cable rupture! Never pull out the plug by the mains cable/with wet
hands.
• Always switch off the appliance and unplug it: when unattended, before
assembly/disassembly, before cleaning, in the event of faults during use and
after use.
• Switch off unused/unattended appliances and unplug them.
• Never submerge the appliance in water/other liquids. Risk of short circuit!
• Children aged 8+ and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, lack of experience and knowledge may use the appliance only
if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they have
been shown how to use the appliance safely and understood the risks involved.
The appliance may not be cleaned and maintained by children unless they are
supervised while doing so.
• Do not let children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and the mains
cable away from children under 8 years of age. Never leave the appliance
unattended while it is in operation.
• Keep packaging materials (e.g. foil bags) out of the reach of children.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Do not use the appliance without its container.
• Do not use the appliance without its dust filter. Before using the appliance,
insert the dust filter and ensure that the container is firmly closed.
• Never use the appliance for vacuuming up explosive or flammable materials,
glowing ashes, other materials that are on fire, nails, needles, eggshells, sharp
items or metal parts.
• Never vacuum up solvents, acids, glowing, hot, sharp-edged, explosive or
flammable substances.
• Never use the appliance for vacuuming up powdered cement, wood shavings,
sawdust or metal powder, since these might clog the filter or abrade and
damage the motor, which would invalidate the guarantee.
• When vacuuming up liquids, make sure that the MAX filling level is never
exceeded.
