• Charge the battery before using it
for the first time.

1. Press the button (2) next to the
charge level indicator button (3) on
the battery (4).
The LEDs of the charge level in-
dicator show how much charge re-
mains in the battery.
2. Charge the battery (4) when only
the red LED on the charge level in-
dicator (3) is illuminated.
Inserting and removing
the battery into/from the
cordless device
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Do not in-
sert the plug into the outlet until the
device is fully prepared for use.Only
insert the battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incor-
rect battery can damage the device
and battery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (4) along the
guide into the battery holder.
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release
(1) on the battery (4).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery
holder.

Charging the battery
NOTICE! Risk of injury from electric
shock. Only charge the battery in dry
areas. The external surface of the
battery must be clean and dry before
being connected to the charger.
Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
Procedure
1. If necessary, remove the battery
(4) from the cordless device.
2. Slide the battery (4) into the char-
ging slot (7) of the charger (5).
3. Plug the charger (5) into an power
outlet.
4. Once charging is complete, dis-
connect the charger (5) from the
mains supply.
5. Pull the battery (4) charging slot
out (7).
