6.3 Calibration/Adjustment

The testo 265 should be regularly checked, and if neces-
sary adjusted, with the help of the Testo reference oil.
Preparing a sensor calibration / adjustment
The testo reference oil (0554 2650) is required to carry out
a sensor calibration / adjustment.
Warm the reference oil to room temperature (approx.

20-25°C) in a water bath prior to calibration / adjust-
ment.
Clean the sensor and the protective cage before

adjustment/calibration, in order to avoid transferring
contaminated oil into the reference oil, see

Because of the high temperature fluctuations to which the
sensor is exposed in measurement operation, possible
contamination etc., we recommend an annual check by
Testo customer service.
We recommend the annual renewal of a calibration
certificate for measurements as part of a quality assurance
concept (e.g. ISO 9000).
