4.2 Switching on

Press
- A display test is carried out: All segments of the
display light.
- The firmware version is displayed.
- The instrument switches to measurement mode
and is ready for use.

4.3 Measuring

Adhere to the following instructions to achieve correct
measurement results:
· Remove the deep-fried food from the oil and wait
1minute, even better 5 minutes before measuring.
· If a measurement error is suspected due to water:
Repeat measurement after 5 minutes (do not deep-fry
during this time, keep the oil at a high temperature). If
the reading is lower, if necessary take a new measure-
ment after 5 minutes until the reading is stable.
· "Temperature strands" in the oil can cause measure-
ment errors. Move instrument in the deep fryer.
· Do not attach sensor near metal parts (e.g. deep-frying
basket, basin wall) since they can influence the result of
